Adelaide M. Gendron

Adelaide M. Gendron, 94, of Manchester, died August 7, 2006, at Mt. Carmel Health Care Center after a period of declining health.

She was born in Manchester, February 5, 1912, and was one of 14 children of Jean and Exarine (Breton) Couture. She was a lifelong resident of this city.

Mrs. Gendron worked at the Mardi Gras Card Shop and had also worked part time at Mortt Shoe.

She was a communicant of St. Catherine Church and was a member of the Sodality of St. Anne of the former St. John the Baptist Church.

She was married to Albert S. Gendron, who died in 1973.

Family members include five daughters, Leone Mullen of Dunbarton, Rita Campbell of Seven Lakes, N.C., Lorette Gendron, Priscille Reynolds and Jacqueline Gendron, all of Manchester; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday August 11, 2006 at St. Catherine Church. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
