Adelard J. "Alky" Berube, 75, of Manchester, died January 19, 2004, at Hanover Hill Health Care Center, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Manchester, May 28, 1928, he was the son of Evariste and Philomene Berube. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Berube was a steel worker and had been employed by Lyons Iron Works for 37 years.
He was a member of the Steel Worker's Union and a life member of the Catholic War Veterans, Ramsey Post.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
Family members include his wife of 49 years, Claire (Frappier) Berube of Manchester; a daughter, Claudette Lavigne of Dover; two sons, David D. Berube and Michael R. Berube, both of Manchester; 9 grandchildren; three brothers, Leonard Berube of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Girard Berube of Manchester, and Roger Berube of California; four sisters, Laurette Morrissette of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Pauline Desmarais, Aldea Biron, and Doris Forcier, all of Manchester; many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday January 21, 2004 in St. Anthony Church. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery.
