Adrien E. Roy

Adrien E. Roy, 81, of the Pinardville section of Goffstown died January 22, 2008 at his residence after a long illness.

Born in Manchester on November 10, 1926, he was the son of Edward and Adrienne (Charland) Roy. He was a lifelong resident of the Manchester area.

During World War II he served in the US Coast Guard.

Mr. Roy worked at J.F. McElwain Shoe Company, Evangeline Shoe Company and Car Land Auto Body for many years.

He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and had been a member of area bowling leagues.

The family includes his wife of 60 years, Theresa (Dargie) Roy of Goffstown; six children, Linda Savoie of Northwood, Ronald Roy of Goffstown, Laurent Roy of Hillsboro, Paul Roy Sr. of Bedford, Janet Gagnon of Hooksett and Tina Lindhe of Highland, NY; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a brother, Conrad Roy of Florida; a sister, Nola Ransom of Manchester; cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday January 25, 2008 at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
