Alan Leroy Grant

Alan Leroy Grant, age 80, passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Mr. Grant was born in Harrisburg Pennsylvania and raised in Milford Connecticut.  He graduated from Jonathan Law High School before joining the United States Army, Army National Guard and then the Army Reserves.  He was predeceased by his father Shirley Burns Grant, his mother Rachel Foss Grant, his wife of 23 years Patricia (Ostrowsky) Grant.  Survived by his children and their spouses Thomas and Tracy Grant, Heather and John Killam, Suzanne and Jayson Keane, Linda Colby and Ed Lopez (fiancé), Jamie and James Moore.  He also had seventeen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  He was an active member of the Vietnam Veterans Association, an avid Model Train Collector, spent many years volunteering his time with the Arctic Engine Company Number 1 Fire Department in Milford Ct, the Bedford Boomers Train Association, the Veterans Hospital in Manchester NH and the NH Veterans Home, which he was also able to call home his last few months with us. 

Calling hours will be held at Lamberts Funeral Home 1799 Elm St Manchester NH Thursday June 6th from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. Internment immediately following at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery 110 Daniel Webster Highway Rte. 3 Boscawen NH.
