Albert E. Beauchesne

October 8, 1925 — February 10, 2005

Albert E. Beauchesne, 79, of Hooksett, died February 10, 2005, at Pleasant View Center in Concord, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Manchester, October 8, 1925, he was a son of Olivier and Lumina (Lagasse) Beauchesne. He had been a Hooksett resident for many years.

He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and served aboard the USS Dale W. Petersen.

Mr. Beauchesne owned and operated A.E. Beauchesne General Contractors, Inc. in Manchester and Hooksett for many years.

He was a well respected member of his community as a businessman and civic leader. He was very active in Hooksett politics. He had been a member of the Hooksett Planning Board and had served as chairman of the Hooksett Water Precinct. He was also a Hooksett Representative to the General Court.

He was a member of American Legion Post 37, the Pinnacle Fish and Game Club, and the Hooksett Men's Club. He was also a past president of the NH Home Builders Association, and a member of the Queen City Board of Realtors. He was a longtime communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Hooksett.

He loved racing homing pigeons, woodworking, and golf.

Family members include his wife of 58 years, Bertha A. (LeClerc) Beauchesne of Hooksett; a daughter, Claire Allegretto of North Port, FL; five sons, Richard T. Beauchesne of Hooksett, Ronald R. Beauchesne of Canterbury, Daniel A. Beauchesne of Bow, Philip E. Beauchesne and Albert A. Beauchesne, both of Pembroke; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, Roger Beauchesne of North Carolina, and Robert Beauchesne of Manchester; a sister, Rita Beauchesne of Manchester; nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday February 15, 2005 at Holy Rosary Church, Main St., Hooksett. Urn burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
