Albert J. Boutin, 93, of Manchester, died October 26, 2001, at the Hillsborough County Nursing, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Manchester, May 10, 1908, he was the son of Pierre and Desmerises (Roy) Boutin. He was a lifelong resident of this city.
Mr. Boutin worked for J.F. McElwain Shoe Co. for 48 years.
He was very active in local politics having served as a selectman and moderator for 48 years.
He was a communicant of St. Marie Church.
Family members include his wife of 63 years, Gilberte (Beland) Boutin of Manchester; 2 daughters, Jeannette Germain of Cranston, RI, and Suzanne Boutin of Manchester; a son, Albert Boutin of Litchfield; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated October 30th in St. Marie Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
