Albert E. Chouinard

Albert E. Chouinard, 83, of Manchester died April 12, 2011 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a long illness.

He was born in Manchester on March 30, 1928 to Victore and Eva (Chouinard) Chouinard. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

He served in the Army National Guard Infantry for seven years.

Mr. Chouinard worked at Chicopee Mills, American Velcro and Prevue Products for many years. He was an active communicant of Ste. Marie Church and had volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Society of that parish. He was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

IN HIS LIFE: The family includes his wife of 59 years, Yvette A. (Mathieu) Chouinard of Manchester; two sons, David A. Chouinard and his wife, Debra, of Pembroke and Jean P. Chouinard and his wife, Anne, of Manchester; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; three sisters, Violet Houle and Claire Lay both of Manchester and Lucille Groulx of Allenstown; three brothers, Charles Chouinard and Wilfrid Chouinard both of Manchester and Sylvio Chouinard of Hooksett; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a grandson, James Dixon and a sister, Germaine Ashburner.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
