Albert J. Gosselin, 81, of Manchester died May 14, 2011 at the Courville at Manchester after a period of declining health.

He was born in Manchester on November 21, 1929 to George and Laura (Guillemette) Gosselin. He was a graduate of Central High School in 1948 and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

During the Korean War he served in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant.

Mr. Gosselin worked at Associated Grocers for several years and at Kalwall Corporation for many years. He was a member of the American Legion Henry J. Sweeney Post.

IN HIS LIFE: The family includes his wife of 59 years, Pandora (Voliotis) Gosselin of Manchester; three children, Maria Plumpton and her husband, Dennis, of Manchester, Joanne Russo and her husband, Jonathan, of Duxbury, MA and Thomas Gosselin and his wife, Hilary, of Worcester, MA; four granddaughters, Bethany Plumpton, Victoria Plumpton, Alissa Russo and Amanda Russo; a sister, Juliette Quilter of Manchester; two brothers, Maurice Gosselin and Louis Gosselin both of Manchester; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Romeo Gosselin and Robert Gosselin.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Augustin Cemetery, South Beech Street, Manchester.
