Albert J. Laurendeau Sr., 91, of Manchester, died January 9, 2005 at his residence after a sudden illness.
He was born in Manchester on November 17, 1913, and was the son of Alfred and Florence (Lemay) Laurendeau. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
He retired in 1972 as the owner/operator of Al's Cities Service Gas Station. Although he retired in 1972 he never stopped working. He meticulously maintained, and enjoyed taking care of his property.
He was pre-deceased by his wife Helen E. (Polchlopek) Laurendeau and two brothers, Alfred N. Laurendeau and Oscar Laurendeau.
Family members includes three daughters, Jeanne Bellemore of Merrimack, Diane Morganstern of Humble, TX, Judith Grolljahn of Merrimack, a son Albert J.Laurendeau Jr, of Cocoa FL; six grandchildren; one great grandson; four sisters, Lea Soucy, Adrienne Soucy, Jennie Maurier, and Rachel Benoit, all of Manchester; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday January 12, 2005 in St Hedwig Church, corner of Beech and Myrtle streets in Manchester. Burial followed in the St. Hedwig Cemetery.
