Albert J. Tremblay

Albert J. Tremblay Sr., 68, of Manchester died August 24, 2005 as a result of injuries sustained from a fall at his residence.

Born in Manchester on May 7, 1937, he was the son of Alphonse and Elodie (Boutin) Tremblay. He was a graduate of Central High School and attended St. Anselm College. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

He served as a pilot in the US Air Force from 1957 to 1960.

Mr. Tremblay was the director of the New Hampshire Food Bank of New Hampshire Catholic Charities for 15 years. He had also worked at Auclair Transportation for 22 years.

He served as a board member for the Manchester Fire Department Fire Prevention Bureau and as chairman for the Manchester Police Department Crimeline. He also was a board member of the Kid's Cafe and volunteered as an umpire at East Little League.

He enjoyed woodcarving, music, dogs, photography and traveling.

The family includes his wife of 43 years, Barbara A. (Pariseau) Tremblay of Manchester; three sons, Rev. Albert J. Tremblay Jr. of Belmont, Brian H. Tremblay of Gilmanton and Jeffrey A. Tremblay of Harbor City, CA; two sisters, Pauline Bourke of Florida and Doris Chaykowski of Manchester; two brothers, Arthur Tremblay of Florida and Armand Tremblay of Tilton; several nieces and nephews.

IN HIS LIFE: The family also includes two daughters in law, Diane (Ennis) Tremblay and Tracey (Caron) Tremblay; two grandchildren, Megan E. Tremblay and Brian H. Tremblay Jr.. He was predeceased by a grandson, Jake H. Tremblay.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday August 27, 2005 in St. Patrick Church, 138 Coolidge Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to "Catholic Medical Center" for the Building a New Era of Medicine Fund, 100 McGregor St., Manchester 03102.
