Alexander "Alec" F. Patryn, 76, of Bedford, NH, died October 26, 2006 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born in Krakow, Poland, January 1, 1930, and was the son of Peter and Stefania (Niziankowicz) Patryn. He had been a resident of Bedford since 1952.
Mr. Patryn graduated from Manchester Central High School and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He was a licensed professional engineer and was employed at Chicopee Manufacturing Corp. He retired from there in 1977 after 25 years of service. After his retirement he was self-employed in industrial real estate development for several years.
He was a communicant of St. Hedwig Parish. In addition, he was a longtime member of the Massabesic Yacht Club, the Pointer Fish & Game Club and many professional organizations.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and longtime Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Mr. Patryn was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Shirley M (Whipple) Patryn in 2000.
He leaves his four children, Caryl Patten, David Patryn, Kenneth Patryn and Stephany Kalil, all of Bedford, NH; a brother, James Patryn of Los Angeles, CA; six grandchildren, Alyssa, Michael, Nathaniel, Jennifer, Alexander and Adam; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday October 30, 2006 at St. Hedwig Church. Burial followed in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Bedford, NH.

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, was in charge of arrangements.
