Alexander R.K. Solod, 45, of Manchester, went home to the Lord on April 25, 2025 at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord. Our merciful God answered prayers when he stretched out his hands, while Alexander was peacefully sleeping, as God took him gently into his arms, up to Glory land, before the pain would become too much for Alexander to bear.
He was born in Erlangen, Germany on December 8, 1979 to Valentina (Stepanenko) Solod. He was later adopted by Valentina’s second husband, Victor Solod. He lived in Manchester for 29 years.
On December 27, 2024, his illness forced him to retire from his job at Nouria on Rte. 28 in Auburn. Alex loved his co-workers and managers and was concerned how they would manage without him.
He had a great faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of the Liberty Bible Baptist Church in Hooksett. He loved the Lord! He loved his family, his church family, his co-guardian, Matt Chouinard and family, his friends, support staff, Justin and Julie, his neighbors and his beloved dog, Saydee, whom he taught to say “I love you”.
Alexander’s church family and mother are grateful to the nurses, staff and volunteers at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord for their extraordinary work, love and care during his last days of life on earth.
He was predeceased by his father, Victor J. Solod, in 2020 and by his sister, Natasha E. Difusco in 2023.
Alexander is survived by his loving mother, Valentina Solod of Manchester.
SERVICE: A Celebration of Life will be held at Liberty Bible Baptist Church, 10 Riverside St., Hooksett at a later date. It was Alexander’s wish and desire that people would draw nigh to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and come to know and love God’s only begotten son, as Alexander did then and does now! “Through Christ’s sacrifice, we may have everlasting life! Thereby, there is no life without death! Glory to God!” Revelations 21:4 KJV 1611 Bible. Amen!
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester is assisting with arrangements. To leave a message of condolence and to get updates on a future service for Alexander, refer to the obituary at www.lambertfuneralhome.com
