Alfred D. Belanger Jr., 67, of Bedford, died suddenly July 6, 2002, while vacationing with his family in Greenville, Maine.
Born July 6, 1935 in Nashua, NH, he was the son of Alfred D. and Florence (Smith) Belanger Sr. He lived several years in Manchester and had been a Bedford resident the past 38 years.
Mr. Belanger worked for a time for H.P. Hood Co. He later worked for Myrna Shoe Co. and retired from Felton Brush Co. where he worked for 25 years.
He served in the NH Air National Guard for 17 years.
He was active with boy scouts and served as a committee man for troops in Manchester and Bedford.
Mr. Belanger was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Bedford.
Family members include his wife of 47 years, Pauline (Champagne) Belanger of Bedford; his 5 children, Susan Garand of Portland, Oregon, Judith Grenon of Allenstown, NH, Paul Belanger of Bedford, NH, Laura Stewart of Dunbarton, NH, and Debra Belanger of Warner, NH; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Daniel Belanger of Westford, Mass.; nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Wednesday July 10, 2002 in the funeral home.
Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
