Alfred B. Chaplin, 89, of Bedford, died April 7, 2020 at Bedford Falls after a period of declining health.
He was born in Norwood, MA on January 19, 1931 to John and Anna (McHale) Chaplin. He grew up in Norfolk, MA then lived in Goffstown for 10 years where he was active in the community. He had lived in Bedford for the past 38 years.
Alfred worked for the New Hampshire Insurance Company (AIG) in Manchester, Cambridge, MA and Albany, NY. He later worked for The Hanover Insurance Company in Bedford.
He was predeceased by his wife, Anita (Krukley) Chaplin in 2013 and by a sister, Barbara Judge in 2019.
The family includes three children, Patricia Bruhns and her spouse, David, of Glenville, NY, Tom Chaplin and his spouse, Lou Nelson, of Sutton, Quebec, Canada and Kathleen Stigmon and her spouse, John, of Candler, NC, along with six grandsons, Matt Bruhns (Erin), Tim Bruhns (Marisa), Andy Bruhns (Glenna Morgan), Cameron Bruhns, Ryan Stigmon and Daniel Stigmon.
