Alfred J. Hebert, Jr. passed away peacefully on July 7, 2021 at the Elliot Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on September 28, 1941 to Alfred J. Hebert, Sr. and Ruth Graves in Manchester, NH.
He graduated from Manchester Central High School in 1960. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1960 and served his country until 1966 and was stationed in Jacksonville, FL. He was a major communication specialist during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He graduated from Manchester Vocational Technical Institute in 1969 majoring in heating, electrical and refrigeration repair. He was a self-employed repair specialist and handyman.
Family members include his wife, Dorothy "Dotty" Hebert of Manchester; two children, Jonathan Hebert of Hooksett and Joanna Hebert and her partner, Adam Laufersweiler, of Dracut, MA and two siblings, Patricia Lallas of Manchester and Bev Hawkins of Naples, FL.
He was predeceased by his younger brothers, Carl Hebert, Jr. and Ronald Hebert.
SERVICES: A calling hour is at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester on Tuesday (7/13) from 9 to 10 a.m. followed immediately at 10 a.m. by a funeral ceremony. Committal prayers will follow at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
