Alfred H. Hebert, 85, of Manchester, died November 21, 2003, at his residence, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Manchester, April 19, 1918, he was the son of Ovila and Laura (Rioux) Hebert. He was a lifelong resident of this city.
Mr. Hebert served in the Army during World War II.
He owned and operated Al's Landscaping for several years. He later worked for E & R Laundry as manager of the carpet-cleaning department, for 25 years.
He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 8412, and the American Legion Post 79. In addition he was a communicant of St. Raphael Church, and a member of the League of 1000 men of the Precious Blood Monastery.
He loved golf, gardening, and enjoyed traveling with his wife.
Family members include his wife of 58 years, Minnie (Luiz) Hebert of Manchester; two daughters, Barbara Peterson of Hooksett, and Karen Hebert of Manchester; three sons, Dennis Hebert of Pembroke, James Hebert of New Boston, and David Hebert of Manchester; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday November 24, 2003 in St. Raphael Church. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
