Alice M. Freedman

Alice M. Freedman (Jenkins), 85, of Manchester, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Manchester on October 16, 1940, to Thomas and Mary (Owens) Jenkins. Alice graduated Central High School in 1958. She loved to travel and camp with her young family, traveling around New England and beyond.

Alice worked in retail for 30+ years. In her free time, she loved playing cards, completing word puzzles in the Union Leader, watching movies, the news, going to the casino and spending time with her family, especially her 5 grandchildren. Alice’s laugh was infectious and she always saw the good in everyone that crossed her path. She could constantly be heard saying, “Smile and the world will smile with you!”

She is survived by her children Karen Dorsett and her husband Richard, Kelly Philibert, and her husband Aaron. Her daughter-in-law Susan Freedman. Grandchildren Kimberly Beaulieu, Michelle Zager and her husband Luke, Sarah Freedman, Nicholas Philibert, Emily Johnson and her husband Malachi. Longtime family friends Cindy Spelas and Dan Cote

Alice was predeceased by her husband Robert, her son Wayne. Her sisters, Marion Brown and Bernice Stark and her brother Robert Jenkins.
