Alice M. Syrek

Alice M. Syrek, 78, of Manchester died Friday December 23, 2022 at Elliot Hospital after an illness.

Born October 26, 1944 in Manchester, she was the daughter of Albert & Alma (Bergeron) Steele.  She grew up in Manchester and graduated from Memorial High School.  Alice had a career as a hairdresser, working for herself for many years.  She also had jobs in retail and was the manager at Staples.

Alice will be remembered as being a firecracker who was all about her family.  She had the greatest love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Stanley Syrek of Manchester; her children, Shawn Marcoux and his husband, Scott Lancaster, of Savannah, GA, Valerie Lovell & her husband Christopher of Manchester, Sharon Poulicakos of Manchester and Joseph Marcoux of Raymond; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many extended family members.  She was preceded in death by her first husband Alfred Marcoux, her parents Alfred & Alma Steele, and her brothers Robert & Albert Steele.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be Thursday December 29, 2022 from 10 am to 12 pm at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, NH, followed by a service in the funeral home at 12 pm.  Committal will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
