She was born in Manchester on June 26, 1919 to Joseph and Marie (Cote) Bedard. She lived in Manchester for most of her life and at various locations that her husband, Major Leon M. DeMers, was stationed while serving in the US Army.
She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her enjoyment at playing bingo, cooking and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1975 and by two daughters, Irene Demers and Cecile Demers.
IN HER LIFE: The family includes six children, Sr. Francoise DeMers, CSC, Diane Demick and her husband, Ken, and Elaine Clifford and her husband, William, all of Manchester, Ronald Demers and his wife, Diane, of Hampton, Paulette Nolin and her husband, Michael, of Canterbury and Maurice "Yogi" Demers and his wife, Carole, of Manchester; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; three brothers, Maurice Bedard and his wife, Margaret, of Manchester, Paul Bedard and his wife, Diane, of Goffstown and Robert Bedard and his wife, Fran, of Manchester; a sister, Lucienne Pinard of Manchester; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Sacred Heart Church, 265 So. Main St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Augustin Cemetery, South Beech St., Manchester.
