Aline M. Taniguchi

 Aline (Mongeau) Taniguchi of Manchester passed away at home surrounded by family on June 13, 2024, following a long battle with cancer. She was 77 years old.

  The daughter of Leon Mongeau and Marie (Beloin) Mongeau, she was born in W. Stewartstown, NH, soon after which the family moved to Manchester, New Hampshire where she spent her formative years. 

  Aline pursued a career in nursing, with her nursing career spanning over 25 years. She decided to return to school and advance her education, and at age 52 obtained her second Master's Degree (this one in Nursing). She began working as a Nurse Practitioner, which she would continue doing so until retiring in 2015.

  During the early part of her career as a RN, she attended a wedding as a friend of the bride. It was there that she met her future husband, Michio (Dennis) who was a friend of the groom's. Dennis was a career soldier in the U.S. Army, and after they wed in December of 1972 his duty stations allowed them to live and travel not only to both coasts of the United States, but from Japan to Germany as well.

Aline took advantage of the opportunity travel & different duty stations provided to pursue her favorite hobby, Genealogy. She also enjoyed quilting, puzzles, gardening and cooking. She quite liked changing and experimenting with recipes, which her family often loved (but sometimes didn't ... like as much as the last time). 

  Aline is lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years, Dennis Taniguchi; her son Jason Taniguchi; her brothers Real Mongeau (and wife Eve), Leonard Mongeau (and wife Jeanine), and Steven Mongeau; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her son, David Edward Taniguchi.

  SERVICES: A calling hour will be on Saturday, June 29th from 3pm to 4pm with a funeral service beginning promptly at 4pm at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.
