He was born in Manchester, March 31, 1939, and was the son of Harold and Cecylia (Lesnyk) Pollock.
He was a graduate of Manchester High School West, and soon after served with the United States Army.
For many years Allen was a member of the Ironworkers Local 474 of Manchester. Early on, in his spare time Allen owned and operated Windigo Apple Orchard in Deerfield, NH Later, he operated an apple orchard and green house at his home in Manchester.
An outdoorsman, he will be remembered for his skills as a fly fishermen, who tied his own flies, as well as making them available to family and friends. In 1958 he traveled to Alaska for his sport. While there he took a job with the Bureau of Land Management. He enjoyed hunting, being with family and friends, spending time telling stories, and laughing about them.
Family members include his son John Pollock, of VT; a brother Ronald Pollock, of NH; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral Liturgy was held Monday, August 18, 2008 in Lambert Funeral Home,1799 Elm St. Manchester.
Burial took place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Calef Rd. Manchester.
