Alyssa Marie Skoglund

She was born in Manchester on May 13, 1980, the daughter of Duane M. and Patricia A. (Gogas) Skoglund. She attended West Side Catholic, St. Joseph Junior High School, and Manchester High School West, class of 1998.

Alyssa loved to play pool. She was a member of the APA, Amateur Pool Association. She also enjoyed playing Texas Hold-Em and bowling. Alyssa was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

She was a volunteer with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, assisting with numerous events and was an annual participant in the Great Strides Walk-A-Thon.

She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church.

Members of her family include her parents, Duane M. and Patricia A. (Gogas) Skoglund of Manchester; two brothers, Jason J. and his wife Regina Skoglund, and Eric M. Skoglund, all of Manchester; her niece, Isabella Skoglund of Manchester; her maternal grandfather, George M. Gogas of Haverhill, MA; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Patrick Church on Tuesday January 2, 2006. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
