She was born on December 9, 1968, the daughter of George and Pamela (Hasey) Craig, Jr. She graduated from Burlington High School, Burlington, MA and attended Harvard Business Extention School. She was a resident of Southern New Hampshire for more than twenty years.
In her life, Amanda rose quickly through the ranks during her working career. She was the head of loss prevention with Filene's and later worked for Fidelity Investments. She was a true philanthropist, setting up several scholarships for various organizations including YMCA Camp and Burlington High School. She also would give to those in need by contributing to various charities and donating blankets to keep people warm during the winter. She was an avid golfer and had a passion for the sport for many years. Amanda was magnanimous and was described as very intelligent, kind hearted, with a quick wit, always putting others before herself. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
The family includes her mother, Pamela Craig of Bedford; two sisters, Tara Craig Lewis of Merrimack and Pamela O'Brien, and husband Kevin of Merrimack; one brother, Randy Craig, and wife Kristine of Burlington, MA; three nieces, Sydney and Sophie Craig of Burlington, MA, and Aubree Turley of Merrimack; three nephews, Ryan Turley, Benjamin Lefchak and Harrison O'Brien of Merrimack; and her longtime friends Patty and Cathy. She was predeceased by her father, George Craig, Jr. in 2011.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in the mausoleum at Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Carroll County YMCA/Camp Huckins, 17 Camp Huckins Road, Freedom, NH 03836-4403.
