Amanda R. Garant

Amanda R. "Maude" Garant, 91, of Manchester, died October 26, 2001, at the Elliot Hospital, after a brief illness.

She was born in Stanstead, Quebec, the daughter of Leon and Mary (Martel) Ticehurst. She lived in Manchester most of her life.

Mrs. Garant worked as a hostess at the Cadillac Hotel, the Manchester Country Club and the Derryfield Country Club. She retired in 1972.

She was predeceased by her husband, Herve Garant Sr., in 1976, a daughter, Janet Charest in 1998, and a grandson, Roger A. Charest in 1983.

Family members include a son, Herve Garant Jr., of Colchester, VT; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The funeral was October 30th at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St.

Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery.
