Andre A. Gabert, 54, of Hooksett, died March 1, 2003, at Catholic Medical Center, after a sudden illness.
Born in Manchester, November 19, 1948, he was the son of Albert A. Gabert and Annette (Champagne) Cranston. He had been a resident of Hooksett for the past 30 years.
Mr. Gabert served in the army during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of a Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
He had been working as a supervisor in the vehicle maintenance department for the US Postal Service since 1985.
He was predeceased by a brother, John Cranston.
He leaves his fiancee, Christine Donati of Hooksett; a daughter, Shelly Dee Gabert of Johnstown, PA; 3 grandchildren; his mother of Greenville, NH; 3 sisters, Ann Gabert-Jacques of Claremont, Cheryl Doucet of Cincinnati, OH, and Tammy Starkey of Lowell, MA; 5 brothers, Richard Gabert of Manchester, Gary Gabert of W. Palm Beach, FL, Robert Gabert of Manchester, James Cranston of Greenville, NH, and Albert Gabert II, of Middleton, NH; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday March 5, 2003 in St. Catherine Church, Webster St., Manchester. After cremation, urn burial was in St. Augustin Cemetery, Manchester.
