He was born in Manchester on May 1, 1945 to Alfred and Yvonne (Tetu) Sevigny. He graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1963 and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
In 1965 he joined the U.S. Army Reserves and later served with the U.S. Air National Guard at Pease Air Force Base in Portsmouth for 11 years.
Andre was an environmental supervisor and mailroom supervisor at Catholic Medical Center for many years. He had also worked for many years as a certified auto mechanic at Manchester Tire and Battery which was owned by the Rivard family.
He enjoyed time spent with his family, including camping and visits to Kennebunkport, ME.
The family includes his wife of 46 years, Nancy E. (Shannon) Sevigny of Manchester; two sons, Timothy J. Sevigny of Medford, MA and Thomas A. Sevigny and his wife, Martha, of Lexington, MA; three grandchildren, Christian, Noah and Grace Sevigny; a brother, Roger A. Sevigny and his wife, Laura, of Manchester; a brother in law, Richard Shannon and his wife, Fleurette, of Manchester; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Synan, Dr. Robert Dewey, Dr. Peter Corrigan, the nurses and respiratory technicians at CMC C-100 and the ICU for the care they provided to Andre.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Sacred Heart Church, 265 So. Main St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
