Angele (Lemieux) Desainde, 76, of Manchester, passed away May 4, 2018 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Coaticook, Quebec, Canada on July 20, 1941 to Lionel and Doria (Veins) Lemieux. She married her husband of 56 years, George Desainde, in 1961 in Canada where they started their family with two daughters. They moved to New Hampshire in 1965 where they added a son to the family.
Angele worked at Allen-Bradley in Manchester for over 20 years and most recently at the monastery of St. Anselm College. Aside from raising her children, she enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, sewing and knitting.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Maurice, Fernand and Florent Lemieux.
The family includes her husband; three children, Denise Desainde, Helen Avard and husband, Paul and Marc Desainde and wife, Nicole; four grandchildren, Monique Dacey and husband, Thom, Nathan Avard, Olivia Desainde and Ryan Desainde; ten siblings, Pauline Goulet, Yolande McDuff and husband, Richard, Yvon Lemieux and girlfriend, Julie Boyer, Paul Lemieux and wife, Celine, Yvette Fillion and husband, Real, Alain Lemieux and wife, Michaline, Geaten Lemieux and girlfriend, Gaetane Houde, Bernard Lemieux and wife, Lucie, Marcel Lemieux and wife Carole, Ginette Fredette and husband, Christian; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral ceremony was held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
