Ann M. Begin

Ann M. Begin, 91, of Bedford, died October 17, 2024 at Bedford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born and raised in the Murphy home on Jewett St., in Manchester on December 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Vivian (Willett) Murphy. Prior to meeting her “tall, dark and handsome, she was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and later worked as a lab technician with Boeing Aeronautics for many years before retiring in 1996.

Ann loved the outdoors, taking walks and worshiped the sun. She was sweet, kind hearted and saw the goodness in everyone. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Ann was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Robert J. Begin, in 2008. 

Surviving family includes one daughter Roberta Plourde of Concord; three sons, David Begin and wife Diane of Berlin, John Begin and partner Tony Reverditto of CA, and Adam Begin and spouse Frederique of Concord, MA; five grandchildren, Teo and Emmett Begin, Carol Steeves and husband Shane, Jeremy Begin and significant other Christian Rose, Chelsea Begin, and Tyler Begin and significant other Alyssa Vancour; five great grandchildren, Lily Begin, Jerimiah Debreceni, Evangeline Begin, Jace Grondin, and Olivia Begin; two sibling Eileen Buciak and Harold Murphy. She was also predeceased one daughter, Kathleen A. Begin in 1969; one sister, Kathryn Murphy; and two brothers, Dr. Albert Murphy and Edward Murphy.

There are no calling hours. Ann will be interred privately, with her husband at NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen NH. Donations in her memory may be made to American Cancer Society NH Chapter, 360 Rte. 101, Ste. 8, Bedford, NH 03110. Lambert Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
