Ann Marie (Acker) DePaolo, of Hooksett, died on October 10, 2022 at her home after a period of declining health.
She was born in Kingston, Nova Scotia, Canada on June 9, 1946 to Elthan and Florence (Freeman) Acker.
She worked as a surgical and general nurse at various hospitals in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Boston, MA, Manchester and Concord.
Ann was an award winning cook and an avid reader who wrote poetry and excelled in scholastics throughout her academic career. She was a gifted teacher who educated her son and daughter at home and was a Special Olympics skating coach. She was also an avid swimmer and ice skater and enjoyed watching the Red Sox and various skating events.
She was the beloved wife of Robert DePaolo and mother of Stephanie and Neal DePaolo. She is also survived by her sisters, Joy Acker, Kit Spencer and Rae Acker, all of Nova Scotia.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Monday (10/17) from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. A funeral ceremony is Tuesday (10/18) at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. To view the ceremony on live stream, click on the following link:
