Ann E. Provost, 71, of Goffstown, died September 3, 2004, at BelAir Nursing Home, Goffstown, after a brief illness.
Born in Manchester, November 17, 1932, she was the daughter of John J. and Dorothy (Stanhope) Carty. She graduated from Manchester West High School in 1950 and remained very active with the alumnae association. She lived most of her life in Manchester and had been a Goffstown resident the past 24 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and traveling.
She was predeceased by a son, John Lerch, who died in 2003.
Family members include her husband of 16 years, Robert E. Provost of Goffstown; two daughters, Sandi Cotter of Manchester, and Diane DeLanoy of Lansdale, PA; four grandchildren, John DeLanoy, William DeLanoy, Jason Marcil, and Kristina Zimmerman; four step children, Richard Provost of Bedford, NH, Jeanne Gardner of Edgewater, FL, Patty Kerchin of Boscawen, NH, and Jacqueline Provost of Lyman, NH; three cousins, Richard Stanhope, Harry Stanhope, both of Goffstown, and Sandy Barter of Florida.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday, September 11, 2004 at St. Pius X Church, Candia Rd., Manchester.
Burial was at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
