Pembroke - Anna B. Simoneau, 72, passed away peacefully at the Elliot Hospital surrounded by loved ones on February 13, 2015. Born on February 8, 1943, the daughter of Roger and Irene (Viens) Gagnon, Anna was a lifelong resident of New Hampshire. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and a devout Christian. She was well known for her passion for Christ and compassion for others, always placing the needs of others before her own.
Anna Simoneau is survived by her husband Robert; her four children and their spouses, Brian, Keith, Rodney, and Kristine; her eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Anna was the oldest of four children followed by Pete, Butch, Arline, and Joanne. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to making a home for her husband and children, Anna worked most of her life as a waitress, prepared food for her commissary business and finished her work in food service working at Dunkin Donuts in Hooksett. Her recreational interests included spending time with family and friends. Her outside interests included drives to the mountains, the beach and especially playing bingo. Her greatest joy was attending church and studying the word of God. She participated in any ministry she could and gave new meaning to being salt and light. She will be missed by all who know and love her.
