Anne Marie (Rousseau) Chandonnais, 83, of Bedford, died peacefully on April 11, 2023 at Bentley Commons after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Manchester on August 11, 1939 to Hector and Mary (O’Leary) Rousseau. She grew up in Manchester and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1957. She moved to Hooksett and raised her family before moving to Bedford six years ago.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Robert M. Chandonnais in 2012.
Anne Marie is survived by three children, David Chandonnais and his wife, Lori, of Candia, Dori Sommer and her partner, Peter Andrikowich, of Manchester and Patty Reedy of North Chelmsford, MA; four grandchildren, Kevin Sommer and his wife, Samantha, Jeff Chandonnais, Brad Sommer and Brandon Reedy.
Anne Marie worked for several years in the outpatient lab at Catholic Medical Center and in medical records at New Hampshire Oncology.
She was a longtime communicant of St. Catherine Church in Manchester.
She was an active member of the Bentley Commons community in Bedford, where she was the self-appointed welcoming ambassador and a proud red hat member and Bingo aficionado. She also derived much joy from pictures and visits from her little sweatheart, Maggie.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Sunday (4/16) from 1 to 4 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday (4/17) at 11:30 a.m. at St. Catherine Church, 267 Webster St., Manchester. Committal prayers will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
