Anne Williamson suffered a heart attack and died a few hours later at CMC on Saturday Oct 21, 2023.
Anne was born in Manchester NH to her parents Albert and Dora Asadourian on September 14, 1927, and attended Central High School and Boston University. She graduated with her degree in Music Education and was an accomplished classical pianist and had sung in numerous choruses in the Boston area. Prior to her marriage and the births of her children she taught music at the Choate School for girls.
She eventually moved back to Manchester to raise her children and then began a new career path working at the Manchester Urban Renewal and Housing Authority. She took great pride in the numerous projects that revitalized the area including the Canal Street Project, Brown Street Project and the building of various high rise apartment buildings for the elderly. Anne retired after 40 years in 1997.
Anne loved art, music, nature and all creatures great and small. Over the years she enjoyed the companionship of dogs and several cats and is survived by her beloved kitties Mia and Lilly who were always there waiting for a tummy rub. Anne attended the First Congregational Church and sang in the choir for many years as well as serving on various committees.
She was a good loyal friend to many and always had a compassionate ear and shoulder to lean on. She was generous to a fault and cared deeply for her children and family members. The light and love that generated from her will be sorely missed by many who had the great opportunity to know her.
She is survived by her son Christopher Williamson; her brother Dr. Ralph Asadourian and his family; her daughter Melanie Nickerson and her husband Robert Fossbender, and his family; and her cousin Sylvia Shamoian and her family.
Services: A visitation will be held from 12pm to 1 pm w, with a funeral service beginning promptly at 1pm on Friday, October 27th at First Congregational Church located at the corner of Hanover and Union Street in Manchester.
