Annette R.B. Brunette, 94, of Manchester died peacefully on August 7, 2022.
Born in Manchester on January 22, 1928, she was the daughter of Arthur and Yvonne (Gagne) Doyon. She was educated in the local school system.
Annette and her husband Francis owned and operated Sunshine Fabricare Center in Manchester for 35 years.
Annette was a Master Couture seamstress and an amazing cook who loved preparing meals from scratch. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and rode with the New Covenant Riders Motorcycle Club. She also enjoyed snowmobiling and was a member of the Stump Jumpers Club. She was a member and past president of the Catholic War Veterans Association Auxiliary, Rev. Louis A. Ramsay Post 1624 and was recently honored with the CWV’s Longevity Award for her 70 years of service with the organization.
She was a founding member and chief organizer of the Marguerites of St. Peter’s Orphanage and stayed active in supporting the children at the orphanage. A very petite woman full of energy, she loved working at Kilwins, her daughter’s store in Portsmouth, NH well into her 90’s. She will always be affectionately remembered by all as “Grammy” and “Great-Grammy.”
She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Francis R. Brunette in 1997 and her siblings, Lorraine Maurier, Theresa Imatong, Leonard, Gerard, Maurice and Edward Doyon. She was also predeceased by her daughter-in-law Mary Fries.
Family members include her children, Paulette Beliveau of Oregon, Claudette McDonald and husband Ken of Maryland, Ron Brunette and husband Allen Finkel of Michigan, Sylvette Chenette and husband Paul of Hooksett, Janette Desmond and husband Philip of Portsmouth, Lisette Belhumeur and husband Paul of Conway, NH; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Susan, Jeffrey, Patrick, Michael, Lauren, Katherine, Alana, Dennis, Cara, John, Daniel, Amy and August; 9 great-grandchildren; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
The family would like to thank Mt. Carmel Nursing Home & Rehab for their excellent care and compassion. Every member of the staff involved in Annette’s life became a member of the family.
Funeral services and burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery will be private at the family’s convenience.
