Annette F. Roberge, 91, of Manchester, died May 22, 2026 surrounded by her family.
Born in Hooksett on November 13, 1934, she was the daughter of Louis and Jeannette (Taillon) Tessier.
The heart of a proud military family and a devoted Gold Star Wife, Annette’s beloved husband, Edmund E. Roberge, was killed in action in Vietnam in 1971. For the next 55 years, she remained unwaveringly devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whose lives were the center of her world. Her strength, resilience, and deep love for family became the foundation upon which generations were built.
Annette possessed a remarkable entrepreneurial spirit and launched several small businesses over the years. Determined to continue her education while raising a busy family, she pursued lifelong learning and went on to build a successful career as an insurance adjuster with NH Insurance Company, where she worked for many years. Even as retirement approached at age 75, her energy and love for people led her to become the beloved “lunch lady” at a local elementary school, where she brought warmth and kindness to countless children each day.
A lifelong learner who never allowed obstacles to define her, Annette embraced life with courage, humor, and determination. She enjoyed spending time with her sister and especially enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends. Nothing mattered more to her than being present for the people she loved. Whether through heat, cold, rain, or overcoming her fear of heights, she (Mom/Grammy/GG) never missed an important moment in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. “Family first” was not simply something she said — it was the principle by which she lived and the legacy she leaves behind.
Family members include her children, Donna Howe and husband Alain of Manchester, Patricia Laverdure and husband Michael of Chesapeake, VA, Karen Roberge and partner Randy Aubin (deceased) of Manchester, Edward Roberge and wife Kelley Capuchino of Bow, Michele Roberge and partner Eric Sargent of Concord; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Gagne of Manchester; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester, will be Wednesday, May 27th from 4 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 28th at 10 am at St. Pius X Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory either to The Annette Roberge Memorial Scholarship Fund, (https://givebutter.com/the-annette-roberge-memorial-scholarship-fund), a foundation born from Annette’s story and her belief that dreams do not expire with age or circumstance, or the Majestic Theatre ( Majestic Theatre | NH's Largest Producer of Community Theatre ), a non-profit community theater organization that she greatly enjoyed and supported.
