Antoinette A. (Gamache) Dupont, 94, of Goffstown died October 22, 2005 at her daughter's home in Goffstown after a period of declining health.
Born in Canada on April 29, 1911, she was the daughter of Appolinaire and Rose (Pettigrew) Gamache. She came to the United States at the age of three and lived the rest of her life in Manchester.
She was predeceased by her husband, Al Dupont in 1979 and by a daughter, Marcelle Lemieux in 1999.
The family includes three daughters, Georgette Lavalliere and Lucille Lebrun both of Manchester and Madeleine Dupont of California; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; four sisters, Simone Gregoire, Jeanne Gilbert, Ghislaine Compagna and Sr. Yvette Gamache all of Manchester; three brothers, Bertrand Gamache and Philip Gamache both of Manchester and Richard Gamache of Colorado; many nieces and nephews.
IN HER LIFE: She loved her family and was the hostess of large family gatherings for most of her life. She was a great cook, an excellent seamstress and an avid gardener. She was a business woman who was ahead of her time, doing custom drapes and slipcovers for many throughout the state of New Hampshire.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday October 26, 2005 in Parish of the Transfiguration, corner of Kelley and Youville streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
