Arlene A. King

Arlene A. King, 92, of Manchester, died peacefully, at her home, on January 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Dover on September 26, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mable (Ricker) King.  She was a graduate of Dover High School, earned her bachelor’s degree in language from UNH as well as her master’s degree in library and science.  She worked as a librarian for the Tewksbury, MA school system for 40 years before retiring in 1996.

Arlene devoted her life to “Her Girls” and loved her family more than anything.   She enjoyed reading, word puzzles and going out to eat.  She was very organized and meticulous and was an extremely spiritual person.  Arlene was also a lover of animals as well.   Above all else, she will be remembered as “The Best Mom EVER”!!!!!

Arlene is survived by her four daughters, Kristie Whitney and husband Arnold of Barrington, Ashley Kovach and husband Paul of Arizona, Cori King and her husband Michael Williams of Manchester, and Courtney King of Waltham, MA; twelve grandchildren and one brother, Kenneth King and wife Shirley.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Marsh Corner Community Church, 317 Pelham St. Methuen, MA.  Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memorial donations in Arlene’s name may be made to:  Salem Animal Rescue League, 4 Sarl Drive, Salem, NH 03079.  To leave a message of condolence, please go to www.lambertfuneralhome.com.
