Born in Manchester on August 15, 1926 he was the son of Stanislas and Eva (Kelley) Bourgeois. He lived most of his life in Manchester.
During World War II he served in the US Army Air Corps in the Pacific theatre at Hickman Field, Wake Island and Johnson Island.
He earned a bachelor's degree in Technology from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA
Mr. Bourgeois worked as a product designer at Douglas Aircraft Manufacturing, General Electric, Northeastern Engineering, Scovill Manufacturing and Sanders Lockheed Martin. While at Sanders he developed three products that earned engineering patents.
He enjoyed playing the banjo and had entertained at many nursing homes and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Manchester. He also played in several orchestras.
The family includes cousins.
A mass of Christian burial was he;d Wednesday, February 10, 2009 at St. Anne-St. Augustin Church, corner of Beech and Spruce streets, Manchester. After cremation, burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
