He was born in Manchester, October 3, 1924, to Joseph and Angeline (Croteau) Cote. He had been a Hooksett resident for many years.
Mr. Cote served in the US Navy during World War II.
He was a barber for more than 56 years having owned his business.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed most sports. He also enjoyed gardening, playing cards and ballroom dancing.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Estelle (Ledoux) Cote of Hooksett; three sons, Richard Cote and his wife, Brenda, of Hooksett, Ronald Cote and his wife, Denise, of Goffstown, and David Cote and his wife, Maureen, of Florida; a daughter, Karen Courchesne and her husband, Steven, of Hooksett; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; three brothers, Albert Cote and his wife, Fran, of Portsmouth, Roland Cote and his wife, Doris, of Manchester, and Raymond Cote and his wife, Beverly, of Hooksett; four sisters, Theresa Beaudette, Estelle Amadon, both of Florida, Jeanne Gagne and her husband, Lionel, of Franklin, NH, and Helen Brisson and her husband, Ronald, of New Boston, NH; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday January 10, 2008 at St. Catherine Church, Webster St., Manchester. A committal service followed in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum.
