Armand G. Gingras

Armand G. Gingras, 93, of Bedford, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, December 26, 2020 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester.
Born on May 13, 1927, in Manchester, he was the son of Blanche (Allard) and Paul J. Gingras. He was educated at St. Marie High School in Manchester, NH, and Séminaire Saint Hyacinthe, in Saint Hyacinthe P. Q. Canada.
Armand was employed as a bakery route salesman at Cote Brothers Bakery, where he met the love of his life, Helene (Fortin) Gingras. They were married for 71 years. Together, they traveled extensively throughout the U. S. and Canada, as well as the Caribbean and Europe. When Cote Brothers closed their doors he continued to work in bakery sales for Kofee Kup Bakery based in Vermont. In retirement, he worked briefly as a courtesy driver for State Motors in Manchester, and was also a courier at New England Courier for many years.
Armand was a kind and generous man, always helping someone in need. Everyone loved his sense of humor and his easy going demeanor. He loved baseball, especially the Red Sox, poker games, and a good cup of coffee. Armand was a devout Catholic and he was always proud of his Franco American heritage. He and his wife Helene have spent the last year and a half living with their son, Francis G. Gingras, of Bedford.
Armand is survived by his wife of 71 years, Helene (Fortin) Gingras, of Bedford; a son Francis G Gingras, of Bedford; a sister, Frances (Gingras) Potvin, of Manchester; and fifteen nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Fern Gingras; a sister, Therese (Gingras) Boissonneault; a daughter-in-law, Darlene Gingras; and a nephew, Richard Potvin. I
Due to the circumstances of COVID-19, all services will be private. Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
