Arnold F. Cote

Arnold F. Cote, 80, of Manchester, died October 14, 2017 at his home after a period of declining health.

He was born in Manchester on October 28, 1936 to William and Nelsie (Lemay) Cote. He attended Central High School and graduated from Memorial High School. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Army for three years.

Arnold worked for the City of Manchester Highway Department for 24 years. He also worked at Service Master, Manchester Security Service, Cote Electric and Avis car rental.

He was a member of the American Legion Sweeney Post, Alpine Club Drum and Bugle Corps and Black Knights Drum and Bugle Corps. He was also a communicant of St. Pius X Church.

Arnold enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing and he was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves. He will be remembered for his generosity in always helping and caring for others in need.

He was predeceased by his parents; his second mother, Eva Jacques; three brothers, Donald H. Cote, William A. Cote and Roger Cote; and a sister, Priscilla Watson.

The family includes his wife of 60 years, Pauline I. (Gagnon) Cote of Manchester; six children, Francois B. Cote and his wife, Kimallison, of Chesapeake, VA, Roger R. Cote and his wife, Paula, of Fort Collins, CO, Ronald M. Cote and his wife, Susan, of Manchester, Therese R. Cody and her husband, Kevin, of Manchester, Normand A. Cote of St. Petersburg, FL and Leann G. McCormack and her husband, Jeff, of Dunbarton; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; three siblings, Rita Brunelle and her husband, Joseph, of Bedford, Gerald N. Cote of Hopkinton, RI and Phyllis Fortier and her husband, Normand, of Manchester; cousins, nieces and nephews; and his loving granddogs.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
