Arthur E. Adams, 78, of Hooksett, died August 5, 2002, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, Ma, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Brockton, MA, March 15, 1924, he was the son of Samuel and Marie (Healey) Adams. He lived in Manchester for a time and had been a Hooksett resident since 1958.
Mr. Adams worked in the clothing industry for many years.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the American Legion Sweeney Post, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Family members include his wife of 51 years, Laurette (Bisson) Adams of Hooksett; a daughter, Shirley Hoitt of Manchester; 2 grandsons, 3 great grandchildren; a brother, Leo Adams of Manchester; nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday in St. Catherine Church, Webster St., Manchester. Encryptment was in Mount Calvary Mausoleum.
