Arthur Jean Lambert, 98, of Manchester, NH, died peacefully at home on October 26, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Born in Manchester on June 12, 1927, he was the son of Omer and Yvonne (Charest) Lambert. After high school, he enlisted and proudly served in the US Navy at the end of World War II. Upon his return from service he met the love of his life, Therese (Minnie) Martin. They married and celebrated 72 years of life together.
Prior to retirement, he had worked in the production department of Anheuser Busch in Merrimack for twenty years. His early years of employment were at Fleisher Shoe Factory in Manchester.
Arthur was a congregant of Sacred Heart Church and longtime member of the American Legion Jutras Post as well as the Pinardville Athletic Club (PAC) and Alpine Club. He enjoyed playing poker and cribbage, fishing and loved spending time with his family, many years at his brother Henry’s camp and later at his own campsite in Meredith. He was a loving and caring husband, son, Dad, Pepere and Super Pepere. He had a sly sense of humor and loved a good laugh. He will be dearly missed.
He was predeceased by his wife, Therese (Minnie) Lambert in 2022 and his brother Henry Lambert.
Family members include his children, Denise McManus and husband Bernie of Bethlehem, NH, Irene Lambert of Littleton, NH, Ronald Lambert and wife Peggy of Auburn, NH, Lucille Wolf and husband Gregory of Little Compton, RI,; six grandchildren, Erik Nielsen and wife Danielle, Dr. Nicki Lisa Cole and husband Florian Leitner, Amy Moore, Melissa Lambert and wife Allison, Angela Belanger and husband Bryan, Sarah Jardine and husband Patrick; 5 great grandchildren, Grace Cole, Annika Leitner, Jack and Taylor Belanger, and Aubrey Lambert.
There will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 3rd at 10 am in Sacred Heart Church, 265 South Main St, Manchester, NH. Committal prayers will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Donations may be made in his memory to support the New Hampshire Food Bank.
