Arthur R. Lemieux

Arthur R. "Chi-Chi" Lemieux, 66, of Manchester, died December 31, 2006 at a Bedford healthcare facility.

He was born in Manchester on March 11, 1940, the son of Alcide and Hermosa (Shank) Lemieux. He was educated in the local school system. He served in the US Army for six years, including a tour of duty in Vietnam.

He had been employed as a lineman for 30 years prior to his retirement from Verizon.

Mr. Lemieux was a member of the I.B.E.W. and the New Hampshire State Veterans Association.

Members of his family include his wife of 35 years, Connie (Dube) Lemieux of Manchester; one son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Christina Lemieux of Manchester; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Christian Simko of Stratham; three grandchildren, Kayleigh, Robert, and Abigail; two brothers, Roger Lemieux of Nikiski, Alaska, and Joseph Lemieux of Seward, Alaska; three sisters, Terry Croteau of Manchester, Rita Pinard of Manchester, and Mary Jane Coco of Clinton Township, MI; many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Henry Lemieux earlier this year.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday January 4, 2007 in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Belmont St. Burial with full military honors followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
