Arthur E. Perry, Jr.

Arthur E. Perry, Jr., 90, of Goffstown, died February 22, 2017 at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was born in Manchester on February 26, 1926 to Arthur and Mabel (Reynolds) Perry. He lived in Manchester for most of his life before moving to Goffstown in 2004.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Arthur worked at Evangeline Shoe Company, J.F. McElwain Shoe Company and Raytheon, all in Manchester, for many years. He enjoyed fishing, bingo, lottery tickets and playing on his computer. He was an avid Red Sox fan.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife of 58 years, Georgette A. (Beliveau) Perry in 2004; a son, Robert H. Perry in 2000; one great grandson, Matthew Perry in 2015; and two siblings, Josephine Tremblay and William Perry.

The family includes five children, Arthur E. Perry, III and his wife, Sue, of Canterbury, Paul Perry and his wife, Rita, of Manchester, Claire Ayer and her husband, Larry, of Baileyville, ME, Ann Doiron and her husband, Bob, of Manchester and Anita Diamantoplos and her husband, John, of Goffstown; 12 grandchildren, Tina Fryer, Scott Perry, Ryan Perry, Eileen Perry, Maureen Gambaccini, Michelle Johnson, Robert Bouchard, Candace Velis, Kevin Perry, Jennifer Cleveland, Amanda Bouchard and Heather Doiron; 10 great grandchildren, Marissa Perry, Kyle Fryer, Collin Doiron, Isaac Johnson, Kayla Gambaccini, Olivia Johnson, Brandon Linta, Jayden Diamantoplos, Dylan Gambaccini and Isabel Linta; a sister, Alice Wheeler of Manchester; a sister-in-law, Rita Lombardo and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at St. Anne / St. Augustin Parish, 382 Beech St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
