Arthur B. Simpson, Jr, "Rusty" passed away peacefully on March 1, 2021 after a period of declining health at the age of 90.
He was preceded in death by his father Arthur Simpson, mother Doris (Rowell) Simpson, wife Judith (Cachion) Simpson, brother Fred Simpson, and son John E. Simpson.
He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on March 15, 1930 and lived the majority of his life in New Hampshire. Rusty served in in the US Army, was a Korean War era veteran and was honorably discharged in 1952. His early career was in construction ending with a 34-year career in sales working for The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Northern New England in Salem, NH.
Rusty was a member of St. David's Church, Salem, NH. He was an avid fan of New England sports teams including his beloved Red Sox, Patriots, and the Bruins. He was a season ticket holder for the NH Fisher Cats. Rusty enjoyed spending time with his family and going on adventures with his granddaughter Reshea Walls of Sandown, NH catching a movie, lunches, and shopping. Rusty enjoyed the outdoors and was often found partaking of a cigar while enjoying time with his family.
He is remembered with love by his children Mark Simpson and spouse Tina of NH, Luke Simpson and spouse Helen of NH, Matthew Simpson of MA, Patrick Simpson and spouse Sherry Armstrong-Simpson of TX, Debra Simpson-Beckman of MD, Dawn Marie Simpson of NH, Joseph Roy of NH, and Tanya Roy of NH. His siblings Penny Reagan, Kathy Palmer, David Simpson, and Peter Simpson of NH. 22 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A small graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on March 8th, 2021 @ The New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
