Aurelie L. Ducharme

December 30, 1908 — September 27, 2001

Aurelie "Lee" Ducharme, 92, of Goffstown, died September 27, 2001, at Maple Leaf Health Care Center.

Born in Sanford, ME, December 31, 1908, she was the daughter of Hyacinthe and Anna (Demers) Glaude. She had been a Goffstown resident most of her life.

She worked as a weaver at Amoskeag Mills and was one of the original mill girls. She also worked as a nurse's aid at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, the cafeteria at St. Anselm College, and in several area shoe shops.

A member of St. Edmond parish, she served as the church sacristan for many years. In addition she volunteered as an organizer for St. Edmond's Senior Group. She was also a past president of the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary of St. Edmond Church.

She was a member of the Third Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Her husband, Edward Ducharme, predeceased her in 1986.

Family members include a son, Roger Ducharme of Goffstown; 2 daughters, Pauline Bellaud of Bow, and Lorraine Headd of Auburn; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Adelard Glaude of Rumford, ME; a sister, Juliette Auger of Goffstown; nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday, September 29th in St. Edmond Church. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
