Aurore B. Demers

Born in Manchester on July 26, 1912, she was the daughter of Elzear and Euphemie (Philibert) Bellemore. She was a lifelong resident of Bedford.

Mrs. Demers worked at Bee Bee Shoe Company and Prevue Products for many years. In retirement, she worked part time in the cafeteria at the Bedford Memorial School.

She was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church at was a member of the Sodality of St. Anne at that parish. She enjoyed water aerobics at the YMCA.

She was married to Arthur J. Demers who died in 1986.

The family includes three children, Dr. Donald R. Demers of Manchester, Lorraine Flaherty of Auburn and Suzanne Rogers of Manchester; four grandsons and one great grandson and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday February 13, 2008 at Sacred Heart Church, 223 So. Main St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in the chapel at St. Augustin Cemetery, So. Beech St., Manchester.
