Aurore M. Proulx, 96, of Belmont, died September 18, 2017 at her home after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on January 3, 1921 to John I. and Marie Anne (Blanchette) Proulx. She lived in Manchester for most of her life before moving to Belmont 15 years ago.
Aurore worked at Raytheon in Manchester for many years. In retirement she had worked in the cafeterias of Central High School and Hillside Middle School, both in Manchester. Along with many in her family, she had volunteered at Blessed Sacrament Church in Manchester where she was a longtime communicant for many years.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking and played the guitar at many family events and get-togethers. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She was predeceased by eight brothers, Robert, Joseph, Leo "Wimpy", George, Ernie, Richard, Alfred and Roland.
The family includes two siblings, John F. Proulx of Manchester and Beatrice J. Proulx of Belmont; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
