Avis Alberta Blanchard

She was born in Springvale, ME on May 29, 1920, the daughter of Frank and Florence (Murray) Whittemore.

Prior to retirement, she had worked at Treasure Masters where she was commonly was known as the "Champagne Lady". Previously she had been employed in the Derry shoe industry for many years.

Avis had volunteered for the American Cancer Society, the Elliot Hospital as well as the NH Ostomy Association.

She was predeceased by her husband Edward Blanchard, her grandson James E. Boles, her sister and brother-in-law Marcia and William Preban, and her brother Fred Whittemore.

Family members include her daughter, Irene Boles and husband Ralph; her grandchildren, David Boles and wife Renee, Liz Boles; her great-grandchildren, Madeline Boles and Joseph Boles.

Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, Manchester will be Tuesday from 10 to 11 am, followed by a service in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry.
